Dr. Gregory E. Henley, Pastor

Greg Henley began his ministry at Abbeville Presbyterian Church in October of 2015. A native of Roanoke, Virginia, he received a BA (’74) from Elon University, an M.Div. (’79) and Th.M. (’80) from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a D.Min. (’91) from Columbia Theological Seminary. He served as pastor of Fairfield Presbyterian Church in Virginia from 1980 – 1984, chaplain and adjunct religion professor at Presbyterian College from 1984 – 2002, and director of Intercultural Studies at Presbyterian College from 2002 – 2009. He has led travel seminars to Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, Cuba, and Peru. Greg married Janet Lea Baker in 1974. The couple has 6 children, 6 grandchildren, and a basset hound.

Morgan Riddle, Youth Director

Morgan Riddle began serving as our Youth Director in January, 2014. A native of Greenwood, Morgan is a 2012 graduate of Erskine College where she played soccer and was a Erskine College FCA leader as well as being a member of Erskine’s Gospel Choir. Prior to coming to APC she was a lifeguard at the Greenwood Country Club and volunteered with several local groups including the Cherokee Trail School, Pet Therapy group and has paticipated in mission work including a trip to Nicaragua. Morgan has a passion for working with children and youth. Currently she resides in Anderson where she is pursing her Master’s degree from Clemson University and coaching the T.L. Hanna girl’s soccer team.

Mandy Brown, Preschool Director

Mandy graduated from Erskine College in 2005. She is originally from Belton, SC, but has lived in Abbeville since 2007. Mandy is married to Patrick Brown and they have two wonderful boys, Emmett and Elliott. Mandy has a passion for the way preschoolers learn and grow and is excited to bring the preschool ministry to the Abbeville community. “Busy Bees Preschool is a great place to BEE”.

Marybeth Gambrell, Administrative Assistant

Marybeth “Beth” Gambrell has been our Administrative Assistant since June of 2013. A graduate in Data Processing, she has worked with many different companies and churches in this field. Beth was raised in New York but has traveled and lived in North Carolina as well as in South Carolina. She is married to Tommy who works with Abbeville County. They farm on Gassoway Farm Road with a few cattle, donkeys and one dog by the name of “Bosco”. She enjoys time with her family, reading and going “home” to visit with her son, Justin and his family in New York when she can get away.
